THEME/MOOD:

The act of Awakening is a profound, life altering change in one’s life.  The newly Awakened finally see the world for what it truly is, and realize that with such insight also comes the knowledge that they too can inflict changes on the world for good or bad.

The Awakening venue is one of mystery, adventure and self discovery.  Because of this unique mixture, players will find themselves challenged with puzzles, riddles and decisive actions.  What you do today, could come back at you in full force two years from now.

CHARACTER RESTRICTIONS:

Camarilla Awakened Venue standard rules apply, with the following exceptions:

1)     Characters may not start with Gnosis ratings higher then 4.  It is both suggested and recommended that characters start with 3 or less.
2)     Characters choosing to start with a Soul Stone will have their permanent Gnosis reduced by 1 as per the rules, but will have assumed to have passed their Wisdom check or have recovered from such actions before play begins.
3)     Due to the relative scarcity of Legacies, characters wishing to belong to a Legacy must have a convincing background; Meet all of the requirements for the Legacy; and lastly if the Mentor is not a PC, a detailed background of the characters npc mentor.
a.     A newly created character at a game site will be allowed to start with a legacy if they meet the requirements of the Legacy, can give the ST in charge a quick summary of their characters history and then agree to submit the required background before their next game.
4)     Characters wishing to have any mid-approval’s on their characters are required to have an accepted and submitted background.

VENUE STORYTELLER INFORMATION
NAME: Brian Pilot
TITLE: VST Awakened
EMAIL: Mage@shadowhurst.ca
RELEVANT ORDEALS PASSED: Tome, Chapters, and Narration

ANTAGONISTS:
With Awakening being a primarily very open ideological setting, meant to open the minds of your characters as well as potentially your own to everything around you, it is very difficult to describe what would be antagonistic to your characters at any given time.  Defying general convention, what is one day your ruthless enemy may become your greatest ally for a short timeframe or vice-versa.  To each their own goals and values, and woe anyone who defies a supernatural creatures goals and plans.

VENUE RULES:
As per the Camarilla Awakening rules.  Any Mid Approval or higher items require a character background to be submitted to the DST.  Membership in a GSO is possible but extremely rare, and acceptance into a GSO will likely give your characters some additional connections and duties.  Cross-venue interactions are possible, but PC-to-PC interaction with the other local Venues is unlikely.

Casting Spells Before Game Begins:
•     Characters wishing to enter play with spells pre-cast, will receive an automatic card draw of 6 (six).
•     Extended & Ritual spells are cast as downtime actions. Characters receive 1 (one) downtime action per natural resolve trait recorded on their character sheets.  Extended and Ritual spells are not subject to the above rule.

As the act of casting magic is a very free flowing system which is open to a great deal of interpretation and personal opinion, the presiding ST has final say on the effects of any spell cast.  There will be no arguing or debating during the game session.  Should any players disagree they are more then welcome to approach the presiding storyteller once the game session has ended.  No actions or scenes will be retroactively changed based upon such discussions but will be applied towards future rulings should they occur.

Net Play requirements:  In order for a player to earn experience other then game experience the player has to play on the 1. A local IC list.  2. National or International IC lists.  3. IRC or Downtime activities.  These can be used to gain a max of 3XP.  Now listing 2 and 3 must be logged, to both the ST list and the Lead Venue ST.

The Awakened ST is required to have a copy of all pre-experience sheets, up to date character sheets and experience logs. Should a dispute result in a difference between the storyteller and player’s character sheet and/or experience log; the ST’s copy will be assumed to be the correct version. All item cards that are left with the Awakened ST are the responsibility of the ST and will be replace if lost.  Any item cards taken home with the player are the player’s responsibility and will not be replaced.  If the player loses the item card, the character is assumed to have lost the item.

CHECK IN RULES:
All players must first Sign in and pay any site fees and then must go to the character sign in.

VISITING CHARACTERS:
Advanced notification is recommended, but not necessary. Due to the nature of plots revolving around the Lost Causes venue; it will not always be possible for external characters to fully interact with the venue. The players should announce that the character is a visiting character at ST sign in and then the ST can go over character and provide any additional information required to the player.

EXTERNAL PLOTLINES:
The Camarilla is a global organization. Plots and effects from outside the local Venue will be allowed into the chapter game pending review by the Storyteller Staff.
